PRESIDENT TRUMP: “As for India, which people don’t like to talk about — it is a country with the highest tariffs.
They have the highest duties of all. We have a very small volume of trade with India because their tariffs are too high. Essentially, India is not a good trading partner: they actively trade with us, but we trade with them almost not at all.
We agreed on a 25% tariff, but I think in the next 24 hours I will raise it significantly because they buy Russian oil and thereby fuel the military machine. And if they continue to do so, I will be extremely displeased.”
