The Right has no conception of “the commons” and reflexively views such things as inherently leftist.
It’s so dumb, and the effects could be sprawling. For instance, if ranchers don’t have public lands to graze/migrate herds across, because the morbidly obese Mike Lee wanted kickbacks from Blackrock so they could build entire districts of section 8 housing… guess what happens to the price of beef now?
We have enough housing. The real problem is the government has currently forestalled loan payments for a huge percentage of these buyers (so they’re holding when they should be selling) and we have too many migrants and idiotic monetary policy.
It’s a ruse. They’ll frame it as trying to help going Americans afford the American dream. It’s BS. They want kickbacks from Blackrock and China as they further erode the culture here into little more than an economic zone to be strip mined into dust.
