There is only one sex that can have the baby—that is women. Men and women have been told the lie that there’s nothing more to motherhood than 9 months, then it’s a “nights and weekends thing” that you can do around owning a job and owning a business.
Motherhood is a LIFETIME gig. Tell me how it makes sense for us to outsource the raising of our children to low-wage daycare workers rather than the mother?
Up until Women’s Liberation and pushing women into the workforce, we didn’t have massive daycares; children were raised by their mother. The Ford’s, Rockefeller’s, etc. wanted to tax the other half of the public and push the kids into state-run schools.” —Rachel Wilson
