While I understand that we can’t bury our farm industry by seizing their entire workforce at once this could be handled better.
Seasonal permits would be my recommendation ONLY after they’ve been processed and remittances should be heavily taxed if allowed at all.
The company’s that employed illegals should be permanently taxed for providing an incentive for illegal migration. They should also be required to build “out of pocket” housing facilities (on site) for seasonal workers to ensure housing prices are eased for Americans.
I get it, it’s a sticky situation but rewarding bad behavior only ensures said behavior continues.
