U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced a series of strikes targeting the Houthis’ capacity to import, store, and distribute fuel by striking the Ras Isa Fuel Port in the Houthi-controlled Hodeidah Region of Yemen. The release also sends a direct message to Iran, the Houthis’ primary state backer: “The Houthis, their Iranian masters, and those who knowingly aid and abet their terrorist actions should be put on notice that the world will not accept illicit smuggling of fuel and war material to a terrorist organization.”
