NEW: The man tasked w/ carrying out Trump’s mass deportation agenda gives his first national TV interview to FoxNews. Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons says he will “ramp up” raids in sanctuary cities that are doubling down, & expressed frustration w/ media & politicians portraying ICE targets as innocent victims without looking at their backgrounds or criminal histories.
Additionally, not many people realize ICE only has about 5,500 deportation officers in the entire country. House Republicans, via their reconciliation bill, want to give ICE funding to hire an additional 10,000 personnel.
Lyons tells me that would be an immediate “game changer”.
