Harvard Medical School morgue manager ADMITS to stealing organs & selling them on the black market - NYP

The former manager of Harvard Medical School’s morgue confessed to stealing and selling body parts from cadavers donated to the institution.

Cedric Lodge pleaded guilty to charges of transporting stolen human remains, according to the Department of Justice.

Prosecutors stated that Lodge admitted to transporting and selling the stolen remains across several states between 2018 and at least March 2020.

While employed he, “removed human remains, including organs, brains, skin, hands, faces, dissected heads, and other parts, from donated cadavers after they had been used for research and teaching purposes but before they could be disposed of according to the anatomical gift donation agreement between the donor and the school,” the U.S. District Court Middle District of Pennsylvania said.

Under his plea agreement, Lodge faces a potential 10-year prison sentence and a $250,000 fine.
